It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Welch of Diberville, Mississippi, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Smith (Eugene) and Matthew L. Jones; her grandmother Sarah Walker Lett; her siblings, Willie Jones (Slick), John Jones (Buddy) and Flora Dell Jones-Hill; her nephew Eddie Davis; and her niece Nakeba Johnson.
She is survived by: her son Jason Welch of Gulfport, MS; her grandson Javon Johnson Welch of Hayward Ca; her sisters, Sarah Jones Evans, Marvella Jones and Gladys Jones Addison; her siblings-in-law, Shelia D Jones and Tale Hill of Moss Point, MS.; her brother Keith Smith of Atlanta Georgia; and also Rosa Dorsey (Charles).
