He is survived by: his son Johnnie Roy Powell, Jr. (Holly); his grandchildren, Mazzy Mauffrey (David) and Levi Alan Powell; his great grandchild Mary Margaret Gloria Mauffrey; and his siblings, Elizabeth Betty Doucet, Carol Powell Broussard (Paul), Wallace Louis Powell (Myra), William Charles Powell (Carla) and Francis Victor Powell (Fran). He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
