He was predeceased by: his wife Marliene R. Gamble; his parents, Mildred Gamble and Ross Gamble; and his siblings, Guyle Gamble, David Gamble and Sally Swindell.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Ladnier (Donnie), Laurie Shavers (Gail), Denise Gollott, Deanna Beasley and George B. Markham, III; and his sister Carol Jensen. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
