We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2022, at the age of 82, Edward H. Long Jr. of Diberville, Mississippi, born in Washington, District of Columbia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughter Teresa Marie Long; his wife Helen L. Barnes Long; his parents, Edward H Long and Margurite C Long (Hayhoe); and his sister Rita Baxter.

He is survived by: his children, Edward H. Long III (Beth) of Hiram, GA and Karen Michele Lewis (Jeff) of Birmingham, AL; his siblings, Margie Himes, Carol Avanzato of Virginia, Larry Long (Amparo) of Kentucky and Bernie Long (Sherry) of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Jeremy, Ryan Long, Jessica, James and Jeffery Lewis. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
