He is survived by: his children, David Taranto, Jr. and Danielle Taranto Cook; his grandchildren, Ethan Cook and Dawson Cook; and his siblings, Tommy Taranto (Brenda), Sheila Taranto Borries (Ralph) and Patrick Taranto. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
