She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Waul and May Waul (Segree). She is survived by: her husband James Alexander Barnes; and her sons, Lance, Dr. Phillip Barnes (Susan Barnes), Michael Barnes, Andre Waul and Jerrold Barnes. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Save the Children or Doctors Without Borders.
