He was predeceased by: his parents, William Pelaez and Olga Pelaez; his daughter Sheila Speaker; and his siblings, Theresa Burson, Virginia Pelaez and William Pelaez, III.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Pelaez; his children, Rhonda Smith (George) and Eric Pelaez; and his sisters, Mary Dauro and Eva Caleo. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
