She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Scott Fairley and Charles D. Scott; her husband Thomas Patrick McCabe; and her stepson Thomas "Tommy" McCabe, III. She is survived by: her son John W. Oakes (Karen); and her stepchildren, Theresa McCabe (Tommy), Mike McCabe (Cindy), Joe McCabe, Pete McCabe, Elizabeth Darrah (Bruce), Kathy Green and Theresa Little (Jim). She is also survived by family but also by extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Dorothy's honor to Gulfhaven Mennonite Church, 21497 Mennonite Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.
