He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Smith and Lois Smith. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Smith; his children, Jeff Smith, Jamie Smith, Julie Nelson (John Corey) and Matthew Smith (Shannon); his brothers, James Ronny Smith and Bob Smith (Cindy); his grandchildren, Regan Tanksley, Ryan Smith, Maddox Smith, Tanner Smith, Thomas Beck, Carson Nelson, Carter Smith and Lorelai Smith; and his goddaughter Breannah Beavers.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the Newton County Veteran's Memorial Park.
