He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ray, Bonnie Murphey, Charles and Adell Shepherd; his stepmother Diane Shepherd; and his stepbrother Matt Liggett.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Shepherd of Decatur; his son Steven Shepherd of Niota, TN; his parents, George Shepherd of Rose Hill and Glenda Shepherd of Newton; his sister Angie Blount (Dean) of Murfreesboro, TN; his nephew Todd Blount of Decatur; and his niece Rachel Blount of Franklin, TN. He is also survived by several aunts and cousins.
