She was predeceased by: her husband C. D. Bristow; her parents, Charlie Shaw and Gladys Roberson Shaw; and her siblings, James Shaw, Walter Shaw, Charles Shaw, Robert Shaw, Henry Shaw, Eddie Shaw, Rebecca Anderson and Ruth Mills.
She is survived by: her children, Lee Carey (Sherrie), Bobby Carey (Joy) and Lynne Carey of Decatur; her grandchildren, Robby Carey (Bianca), Amy Salazar (Timothy), Mandy Goforth (Richard), Jennifer Tune (Jason) and Cody Carey (Alex); and her sister Nora Howton of Oregon. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home - North (9998 Eastside Dr, Newton, MS 39345). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Newton County Memorial Gardens (9998 Eastside Dr, Newton, MS 39345).
