We are sad to announce that on November 12, 2024, at the age of 52, Matthew Albert Bender of Decatur, Mississippi, born in Newton, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Albert Bender, Jr.; and his grandparents, Marshall, Gladys Allgood, Buster and Ellen Dean.
He is survived by: his mother Nancy Allgood Brock of Decatur; his daughter Casey Bender of Gulfport; his sisters, Melissa Bayles (Scott) of Brandon, Marcy Mills of Chunky and Kim Amis (Allen) of Decatur; and his close friends, Bill, Buntyn, Paul, Tamela Busby and Marshall Allgood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home - North (9998 MS-15, Ackerman, MS 39735). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home - North (9998 MS-15, Newton, MS 39345). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the Newton County Memorial Gardens (9998 MS-15, Newton, MS 39345).
