He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Thorne and Bessie Thorne of Decatur, Mississippi.; his wife Frances Horton Thorne of Virginia; his brothers, Willis Thorne of Decatur and Ernest Thorne of Cantonment, Florida; his siblings-in-law, Gerald Glenn, Judy, Janette, Ramona, Pat, Jerry Horton and Larry Magee; and also, Leon and Ollie Horton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Leesa (Bobby Nolen) and Laurie (Butch King); his grandchildren, Clay Nolen (Carrie), Ashleigh Murphey (Michael), Kaylee Phillips (Brady), Lacey Kleckner (Travis), Collin King (Aubrey) and Ashland King; his great grandchildren, Parker, Cooper, Briley, Kylie, Emma Lynn, Hall, Madalynn, Evangeline June and Eliza; his siblings, Curtis Thorne (Nancy) of Decatur, Mississippi and Eva Jean Glenn of Decatur, Mississippi; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Alleman (Dennis) of The Dalles, Linda Magee of Jackson and Jenita Horton of Oakley, Illinois. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
