Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Evealena Thrash of Decatur, Mississippi, who passed away at the age of 85, on December 30, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Mae and Lonnie Edmonds; her son Jeff Deer; her daughter-in-law Beverly Deer (William Thrash); and her brothers, Otis Edmonds and Jack Edmonds.

She is survived by: her son Wade Deer; her grandchildren, Julie Prejean (Mark), Sherri Deer and Todd Deer; and her sister Ann Keene (Nelson). She is also survived by great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
