It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Floyd Thorne of Decatur, Mississippi, who passed away on May 15, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Thorne and Bessie Thorne of Decatur, Mississippi.; his wife Patricia D. Savell Thorne; his brother Willice Thorne of Decatur, MS; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Glenn, Judy, Francis, Janette and Ramona.
He is survived by: his daughter Priscilla Guy (Sid) of Cantonment, FL; his grandchildren, Cody Kara and Sarah Knight (Cory); his great grandchild Rhys I. Knight; and his siblings, James Robert of Grenada, MS, E. L., Curtis (Nancy) of Decatur, MS and Eva Jean Glenn of Decatur, MS. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held May 20, 2020, due to the COVID-19, with immediate family.
