He is survived by: his wife Shirley McKnight of Decatur; his son Brent Chamblee (Corrie) of Lawrence; his sisters, Peggy Arledge of Georgia and Johnnie Kate Collier of South Carolina; and his nephew Anthony Arledge (Angie) of Georgia. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
