He is survived by: his wife Mary Kathryn Nelson (Kathy); his children, George Ira Nelson, Jr. and Penny Elaine Trayal (Keith); and his siblings, Mike Nelson and Mary Stribling. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
