He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Stokes and Mamie Johnson Stokes; his son Jerry Stokes; and his sister Irma Lee Stokes Burton. He is survived by: his wife Annie Pearl Lewis Stokes; his sons, Charles Larry Stokes (Debroah) and Willie Robert Stokes (Pastor Martha Ann); his grandchildren, Marcia Stokes Alford, Carlo Stokes (Kenya), Stephanie Stokes Eley, LaCrecia Stokes and LaVonda Stokes Graham; and his siblings-in-law, Irma Jean Baylor and Terry Lewis. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
