He was predeceased by: his wife Fay Howard Hammack; his parents, Marion Clayborn and Tiney Belle Dear Hammack; and his siblings, Marguerite Hammack Walters, Tina Bell Hammack Hall, Myrtie Hammack Bommer, Marion Clayborn Hammack, Jr. and Wilbur "Bill" Hammack.
He is survived by: his daughters, Laurie Hammack Bullen (Robert) of Jacksonville, Florida, Joan Hammack Ervin (James) of Crystal Springs and Susan Hammack Hardee (Mark) of Jackson; his sister Frances Hammack Nash Champion of Terry; his grandchildren, Preston Bullen (Katie) of Jacksonville, Florida, Wil Ervin of Canton, Eric Ervin of Destin, Florida, Rebecca Hardee of Plymouth, Maris Hardee and Hannah Hardee of Jackson; and his great grandchildren, Addison, Mallory and Blake Bullen of Jacksonville, Florida..
