With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William S. Cook D. Sr. of Crystal Springs, Mississippi, who passed away on May 3, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Ernie Wagar Cook, Jr.; his parents, Lucy Stockett Cook and Ernie Wagar Cook; his wife Barbara Jones Cook; his sons, Dr. William S. Cook, Jr. and Dr. John Wagar Cook (Leah); his granddaughters, Keaton Hayes Cook and Leah Margaret "Mae Mae" Cook; his friends, Tom Bowen, Dick Liddell, Bill Long, Billy Greenlee and Joel Varner; his nephews, Frank A. Wood, Jr., Randolph Wood, Jimmy Jones, III and Robert Jones; and his close friends, Dr. Heber Simmons, Jr., Dr. Noel Toler, Jr., Lee Steed and Les Brannan. He was also cherished by his family, his friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to First Presbyterian Church or Reformed Theological Seminary.
