He is survived by: his daughters, Gail Benson of Crystal Springs, MS and Shunda Benson Leflore of Crystal Springs, MS; his sister-in-law Geraldine Benson of Crystal Springs, MS; his grandchildren, Pastor DeMario Benson, Sr. (Sandra Benson) of Terry, MS, Jay Benson (Kay Benson) of Canton, MS, Desjuan Benson of Dallas, TX, Cierra Benson Moore of Flowood, MS and Calvin Benson Moore of Crystal Springs, MS; and his great grandchildren, DeMario Jr., Devin Benson, Jace Benson and Kannon Benson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
