He is survived by: his brother Scott Dear of Crystal Springs; his former wife Joan Ellen Dear of Crystal Springs; his stepchildren, Billy F. Traxler, Jr. of Crystal Springs and Teresa Lynn Lay of Crystal Springs; his nephews, Kevin Dear and Chase Dear; and his niece Rená Brent. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
