He was predeceased by: his parents, Mable Dell Watkins and Benjamin Thomas Kern; and his daughter-in-law Sherry Willis Kern. He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann McBride of Crystal Springs, MS; his children, Marshall Keith Kern, Jr. (Dinah DeGeorge) of Meyersville, TX and Martha Karen Clower (William) of Crystal Springs, MS; his granddaughters, Amanda C. Wilson (Keith) of Crystal Springs and Rebecca K. Herrington (James); his grandmother Meghan C. Meredith (Shane) of Starkville, MS; and his great grandchildren, Taylor, Olivia Wilson, Lillian, Lydia, Layana Meredith, Caleb and Hunter.
