With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luther W. Turner Jr. (Crystal Springs, Mississippi), born in Rosedale, Mississippi, who passed away on October 27, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son William "Bill" Turner; his parents, Luther W. Turner, Sr. and Lovie Ponds Turner; and his siblings, Ola McVey, Eva Trimm, Louise Davenport, Nancy McCool, Lovie Mae Frances Turner, Harvey Turner and Leonard Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Fran Turner; his daughters, Carla Rogers (David) and Tina Richardson (Richie); his daughter-in-law Mary Turner; his grandchildren, Kristen Holifield (Jonathan), Kara Hudson (Tom), Wyatt Richardson, Aspen Turner and Makennah Turner; his great grandchildren, Zackery Holifield and Ashton Holifield; his siblings, Evelyn Mills, Dot Whitaker, Shirley Turner (Jerry) and Jesse Turner; and his sister-in-law Judy Turner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards the purchase of a church van for Highland Baptist Church at 505 North Jackson St. Crystal Springs, MS 39059.
