She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henry Whatley and Fannie Maybell Whatley; and her siblings, Margie Traylor, Annie Lou McMillian, Mary Nell Bullock, Maxine Polk, Margaret Lewis, John Andrew Whatley, Jr. and George Henry Whatley, Jr..
She is survived by: her sister Peggy Powell of Crystal Springs. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and other family members.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, at 8:00 PM and on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hopewell Baptist Church (2002 Hopewell Rd, Crystal Springs, MS 39059). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
