He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Overby and Benjamin Evans; and his children, Steve Evans and Renee Hicks of Karen Forbes, D. D. He is survived by: his children, Taylor and Rhonda Thomas; his brother Bennie Evans; and his half-sisters, Francis Fair and Joan Vinet.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trace Ridge Baptist Church (238 Lake Harbour Dr, Ridgeland, MS 39157). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Gatesville Baptist Church Cemetery (3162 Gatesville Rd, Crystal Springs, MS 39059).
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made on Archie's behalf to either the Children's of Mississippi Hospital or Trace Ridge Baptist Church.
