He was predeceased by: his parents, Hewitt Gordon and Willie Irene Hester Gordon; and his siblings, Ann Turner, Jean Slay and Hewitt Gordon.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Ballard Gordon of Cruger, MS; his children, Thomas Lamar Gordon, Jr. (Jewel) of Gluckstat, MS and Tamara Lynn Gordon of Nashville, TN; and his brother Henry L. Gordon of Cruger, MS. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
