She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscan Nickles and Mamie Smith Boykin, Sr.; her husbands, James G. Thompson, Sr. and Benjamin G. Coleman; her son James G. Thompson, Jr.; and her siblings, Joe Herman Boykin, Oscar Boykin, Jr., Ben Boykin, Bessie Boykin, Annabelle Mitchener, Lurlean Wilson, Martha Fleming, Linda Conner, Sarah Alma Boykin and Mary Kate Boykin.
She is survived by: her daughter Marilyn T. Gentry (Buddy) of Starkville, MS; her grandchildren, Lisa Bridge, Merrie Gwin, Holly Wiley, Jim Thompson, Ashley Dalton and Boykin Haskins; and her great grandchildren, Dillon Bridge, Logan Barnett, Barrett Barnett, Noah Gwin, Benjamin Wiley, Quinton Wiley, Davis Dalton and Jack Dalton. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
