It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ted Avant of Corinth, Mississippi, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Hugh Avant and Frances Avant Bradshaw; and his daughter Mitzi Avant. He is survived by: his wife Marie Osteen Avant; his children, Teresa A. Wilkins (Keith), Lanette Avant and Teddy Avant (Christie); his grandchildren, Allison W. Smith (Mark), Courtney W. Cartwright, Brooke Wilbanks (Eric), Tyler Tucker, Laura Avant, Lane Avant, Emily Avant and Katie Avant; his great grandchildren, Cooper Cartwright, Millie Marie Smith, Hallie Beth Smith and Marley Wilbanks; and his brothers, Hugh C. "Kacky" Avant (Joyce) and Larry Travious Avant.
