She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Smith and Eula Gossip Smith of Walnut, Mississippi.; her husband John Paul Jones; her siblings, Ted Owens Smith (Bertha) of Leland, Donald Smith (Ruby) of Walnut, Mississippi, Lena Faye Stanley of Walnut and Polly Mathis (Kenneth) of Walnut; her sons, John Herman and Ronnie Eugene Jones of Walnut; and her granddaughter Ashley Gail Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Mercer of Myrtle Beach, Randy Jones of Walnut and Stevie Jones of Rienzi, Mississippi; her grandchildren, Sirenia Killough (Corey) of Kossuth, Mississippi, Shea Mercer of Ocala, Florida, Jennifer Perez of Falkner, Mississippi, Jackie Jones of Walnut, Mississippi, Ashley Haney, Lisa Crum of Corinth, Mississippi, Felicia Walker of Rienzi, Mississippi, Brad Jones (Kayla), Brandon Jones, Johnathan Jones of Rienzi, Mississippi and Joseph Jones of Corinth, Mississippi; and her close friend Clayton (Greater True Light Ministries).
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Jesus Name Community Church (61 Co Rd 770, Walnut, MS 38683). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
