He was predeceased by: his father Tommy Carpenter; and his grandparents, Guy, Josephine Repult, Boyd and Annie Ruth Carpenter.

He is survived by: his mother Bobbie Carpenter; his wife Kim Bolton Carpenter; his son Guy Carpenter; and his siblings, Tim Carpenter (Renee), Bart Carpenter (Linda), David Carpenter, Brian Carpenter (Paula), Beverly Harmon, Pam Bates and Janet Swindle (Robert). He is also survived by nieces, nephew's family and friends.
