She was predeceased by: her parents, Coleman Purvis and Ella Purvis; her husband Harold Stephens; her daughter Brenda Howard; and her siblings, Pete, Rex, Ralph, Monk, Jimmy, Gene, Clark Purvis and Opal Purvis.
She is survived by: her sons, Roy Stephens (Valerie) of Stanton, Larry Stephens (Elizabeth) of Mt. Sterling and Harold Stephens; and her sisters, Betty Skinner of Winchester and Geraldine Hendrix. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren.
