It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Okey Wayne Thornton of Corinth, Mississippi, born in Frankford, Missouri, who passed away on February 27, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Okey Thornton and Ruth Thornton; and his great grandchild Jaxon Tyler Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Wilma Jean Thornton of Corinth; his children, Doug Thornton (Michelle) of Hernando, MS and Annette Villaflor (Greg) of Corinth; his grandchildren, Nathan Thornton (Kaylee), Nicole Thornton, Nicolas Thornton, Daniel Villaflor, Justin Villaflor and Grace Villaflor; his great grandchildren, Bentley, Addi Thornton and Reid Thornton; and his sister Sharon Thomas of Louisiana, MO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives as well as many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church of Corinth.
