She was predeceased by: her parents, Oles Smith and Lola Smith of Gravel Hill; her sons, Rocky Whitaker and Terry Whitaker; her son-in-law Jerry Edwards; and her brother Bobby Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Delane Whitaker; her children, Scotty Whitaker (Sandy) and Lisa Whitaker Edwards; her daughter-in-law Susan Whitaker; her sisters, Peggy Inman, Diane Mathis and Wanda Faye Seago; her grandchildren, Justin Whitaker, Josh Whitaker (Paige), Ciarra Edwards Hollifield (Adam) and Skyler Edwards; and her great grandchildren, Mason, Bradlee and Crew Whitaker. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
