She was predeceased by: her parents, W. B. Clark and Gertrude Jacobs Clark; her former husband Billy Muse; her husband Sam Carter; her sisters, Irene Clark Shaw and Bettye Clark McCullar; and her son Jimmy Muse.
She is survived by: her son Art Muse of Charlottesville, VA.; her daughter-in-law Susan Muse; her grandsons, David Muse and Robert Muse; and her stepdaughters, Betty Rose Lothenore of Booneville, MS, Carol Williams of Billingsley, AL and Cathy Carter of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joymakers Fund @ the First Baptist Church in Booneville, MS or the Baptist Children's Village in Clinton, MS.
