She was predeceased by: her parents, Kim Rowland and Florence Ayers Rowland; her former husband Howard Wilson Smith; her husband Howard Ross; her daughter Patricia Copeland (Sammy); her grandson Christopher Smith; and her siblings, Dementra Rowland, S. D. "Sully" Ayers and Lougene Woods Stanfield.
She is survived by: her sons, David Smith (Danette) of Stafford, VA, Rickey Smith (Laura) of Corinth, MS and Lamar Smith (Connie) of Corinth, MS.
