He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Leon Hale and Mary Ruth Hale; and his sister Linda Dodd. He is survived by: his wife Kay Hale; his sons, Jeff Hale (Traci), Brent Hale (Jenifer) and Brian Hale (Wendy); his grandchildren, Josh (Ashley), Vivian, Colbi, Jackson, Holden, Harrison, Bradley and Ruby; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Mack.
