He was predeceased by: his wife Lavon Dean Essary; his sons, Manuel and Kevin; and his siblings, Barbara Ragen and Ricky Essary.

He is survived by: his grandson Josh; his daughter Denise Essary Brooks (Chris) of Bullard, TX.; his grandsons, Joshua Tull and Alex Tull of Corinth, MS.; his sisters, Sue Crum (Tommy), Jane Rowsey (Phillip) and Debbie Essary; and his friends, William, Ronnie and Jennifer Vernon of The Woodlands, TX.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
