He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Doris Barnes, Sikes, Richard Olen Mercer, Elmer and Kitty Pearl Childers; and his cousin Wensdae Walker.

He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Childers, Matthew Childers, Peyton Childers and Presley Fooshee; his parents, Donna Lee (Tim) and Mike Childers (Debbie); his siblings, Jay Childers (Lisa), Jake Childers (Courtany) and Shelley Childers; his niece Caroline Catalaya; his nephews, James Childers, Hayden, Hank and Jacob; his aunts and uncles, Barbara Rye, Dot Melancon, Marty Childers (Carla) and Rick Mercer (Teresa); and his close friend Nathan Knight. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.
