It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Lentz of Corinth, Mississippi, born in Burnsville, Mississippi, who passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lentz and Bonnie McCoy Lentz; his wives, Junnie Mathis Lentz and Atha Payne Lentz; and his brothers, Clinton Lentz, Earl Lentz and James Lentz.

He is survived by: his children, William "W. C." Lentz, Wayne Lentz, Brenda Butkovich (Bucky), Kay Rickman and Marvin Lentz (Janice); his grandchildren, Stacie Mitchell Brian (Brian), Angie Fossett (Jimmy), John Lentz (Serena), Kristy Butkovich (Bryan), Brad Rickman (Amber), John Butkovich, Amber Frazier (Brannon), Brandi Kaufman (Joey), Marsha McDowell (Greg), Marlana Crump (Peyton) and Maranda Woodruff (Tyler); his siblings, Manuel "M. C." Lentz, Obry Lentz (Frieda), Ruth "Liz" Parsons and Doris Hutson; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Lentz, Hazel McCann, Loretta Pierce and Charlotte Johnson. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
