He is survived by: his wife Opal Mae Bobo Nelson; his daughter Dale Tavares (Danny); his grandchildren, Makayla Purviance (Brandon), Kalani Tavares and Leilani Tavares; his great grandchildren, Kaelin Purviance and Keoni Purviance; his siblings, Phillip Nelson (Kaye), Kenny Nelson (Frankie Henson), Lawrence Nelson (Wanda), Lenda Bobo, Brenda Null (Charles), Helen Dildy and Sandra Crum (Donald); and his siblings-in-law, Sherry Nelson and Levoyd Wilbanks.
