He is survived by: his wife Joan Talley Monroe; his daughter Carolyn Monroe McDowell (Garry) of Corinth, MS; his grandchildren, Blake McDowell, Nick Monroe, Landon Monroe and Kristin Farrar (Derek); his great grandchild Macy Farrar; his sister Jeanette Wilburn of Slayden, MS; and also, Bonnie Lancaster, Bubba McNeese, Baillie and Marshall Cook.
