He was predeceased by: his former wife Diane Stutts; his son William Jerome Stutts; his stepchildren, Steven John Lewerenz and Maryanne Lewerenz Lewis; his parents, James Thomas Stutts and Edna Eaton Stutts; his stepmother Hazel Horton Stutts; his half-brother Bill McKinley Stutts; his sister Ivy Maxine Stutts Killough; and his half-sister Lavendar Lorain Stutts Bishop.
He is survived by: his wife Delaine Bishop Stutts; his children, James Lee Stutts, Joseph Wayne Stutts (Anna), Marvin John Stutts, Judy Ann Stutts Howells (Pedro Carillo) and Glinda Sue Stutts Parker (C. J.); his stepdaughters, Symanthia Guthrie (Allen), Melissa Shouse (James Eddie), Sheila Mattox (Norman) and Angela Moffitt (Hughey); and his half-siblings, Jerry Wayne Stutts (Judy) and Sahara Louise Stutts Wilson. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
