He was predeceased by: his parents, Nolan Sims and Lucy Mae Gooch Sims; and his brother Charles Sims. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Sims; his children, Anthony Sims (Danita), Don Sims (Tammy), Timmy Sims, Lamar Latch, Betty Huggins (Wendell) and Annette Morelock (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Brandon Sims (Hannah), Brooke Butler (Bradley), Ashley Poole, Cassie Matlock, Amber Parker (Ross), Colton Sims (Brittany), Shelby Sims, Tyler Sims, Stephanie Latch, Holly Stricklin, Stan Morelock (Amber) and Kayla Ruth Mercer (Scott).
