He was predeceased by: his parents, James Garvin and Inez Bailey Wiginton; his siblings, Hildred, Avisteen and Lamar; and his parents-in-law, Robert Patton and Nellie Patton.
He is survived by: his wife Mae Patton Wiginton; his children, Gail Mariage (Brad) of Houston and James Garvin "Jim" Wiginton III (Cynthia) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Drew Mariage, Blake Mariage, James Wiginton IV (Natalia), Paiton Wiginton (Kylie), Clay Wiginton (Lavonne), Tori Wiginton and Haddon Wiginton; and his great grandchild Evangelina Wiginton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
