He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hubbard King and Alma Hardin King; his wife Lucille King; and his siblings, Kit King, James King and Irene Counce.

He is survived by: his children, Katie Purvis (Johnny) and Gary King (Pam); his grandchildren, Sunnie Catlin, Sam King, Andy Purvis and Sarah Kate Purvis; and his great grandchildren, Cade Catlin and Corie Catlin.
