He was predeceased by: his wife Greta Ann Lassiter; and his parents, James Milton and Lois Atkins of Virginia. He is survived by: his children, Ginger Dickerson (Kim Bohannon), Amy Taylor (William) and Todd Dickerson (Kalis Egolf); his granddaughter Olivia; his siblings, Mike Dickerson (Susan), Lyle Dickerson (Jane) and Becky Dickerson; and his nieces and nephews, Scott Lassiter (Heather), Tom Dickerson (Melinda), Matt Dickerson (Monica), Chad Dickerson, Drew Dickerson (Angela), Jill Clark (Chris) and Ellen Burkhalter.
