He was predeceased by: his parent Ovie Christian (Kingsley); his sister Mary; his brothers-in-law, Gene Clark and Paul Cook; his nephews, Dennis Clark (Vietnam), Ricky Cook and Sam Akers; his niece Rebecca Cook; and his parents-in-law, Sybol and Grady Monts.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Monts; his children, Danny (Sherry), Tommy (Cindi) and Susan Edwards (Jim); his grandchildren, Amy Woodard (Gary), Haley Reeves (Steven), Leslie Christian, Aaron Christian (Bayle), Jared Christian (Sarah), Blaine, Lilia and Elena Edwards; his sister Maude Dean Cook; his nephews, Mike and Craig Cook; his niece Tammy Akers; and his brothers-in-law, Grady Monts (Anita) and Garry Monts (Debbie). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
