He was predeceased by: his parents, Sara Rinehart Hinton and Franklin Fillmore Hinton; his sister Sarah Jane Hinton Finch; his nephew Brett Finch; and his son-in-law Philip Moore.

He is survived by: his brother Phil Hinton (Mary); his children, Melinda Hinton Moore and Brent Hinton (Cindy); his grandsons, Landon Moore and Taylor Moore (Jenci); his great grandchildren, Haley Moore and Piper Moore; and his nephews, Tracy Carter and Rich Hinton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
