He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James Henry Gargus, George Harold Smith and Cornelia Haynes; his uncle Jimmy Gargus; and his great-uncle Gene Cantrell.

He is survived by: his parents, Lance Gargus and Gina Smith Gargus; his sister Autumn Dawn Mayanna Gargus; his grandmothers, Jean Smith and Mary Gargus; his aunts and uncles, Paula Ary (Ashley), Sheila Hurst, Sonya Wilkinson (John), Kristie Hollan (Sam), Jennifer Kelly (Craig), Dakota Parrish (Kaylen), Zeke Childress, Dustin Parrish (Cassie), Jeff Smith and John Smith (Faith); his great-aunts, Linda Cantrell and Maxine Howard; and his godparents, Joey Leatherwood (Christie) and Bobby Allen. He is also survived by other cousins, family and friends.
